Living Life on Purpose....It is in the small stuff

Working to fulfill my ultimate purpose in life amongst the clutter brought on by the daily grind. I'm a Believer first, followed by a ton of other descriptors. I blog about the big and little events in my life.

Worship isn’t just confined to the four walls of a church building. And its certainly not exclusive. But it’s for every human being on this planet. In the kingdom of God there are no outsiders. ~Gareth Gilkeson, The Rend Collective Experiment

Apparently I have been under a rock for the last few years. I just started listening to the Rend Collective Experiment a few weeks ago. Clearly I was missing out. I’m loving this group. I like their perspective on the role of the Church. The music is honest, worshipful, and downright fun.

Makes me long for a campfire of my own.

I don’t really have time for this. I’m leaving the country in less than 8 hours. But this song and its message has consumed me the last 24 hours.

I heard this song at a wedding yesterday, and it has been in my head ever since. Kari has an amazing voice. Clear, strong, and absolutely lovely. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful and the lyrics of this song have pulled incessantly at my heart.

The song is a conversation between her and God with the repetitive line being “I know that you are for me.” It is beautiful in that is speaks to that self doubt that is present in all of us. God do you hear me? Are you really there?

In response we hear over and over again the phrases:

I hear you.

I see you.

I’m with you.

I’m for you.

I will not forsake you.

I am for you…

If you have ever doubted yourself, your purpose in life, or the reason you are in this exact spot at this exact moment in time, have a listen.

If it doesn’t sink in.. Listen.. Listen again.. and again.

God is for you.

I dont generally reblog. No particular reason. However, I love this photo. The post is is great. But I love the worn Bible. It is just how I like it, loved upon, highlighted, and written in. Can’t beat that.
